The story behind FastDailyTools

FastDailyTools is a free, privacy-first collection of small utilities that we use ourselves every single day — PDF mergers, image compressors, password generators, color converters, JSON formatters and more. We built it because the existing options were either bloated with ads, hid features behind paywalls, or quietly uploaded your files to a server.

Why FastDailyTools exists

Most of the tools on this site are tasks we used to pay for, install bloated desktop software for, or settle for a poor web alternative. Modern browsers can do almost all of it natively — and faster — if someone takes the time to wire it up cleanly. That's the project: a single, fast, no-friction home for the small jobs that quietly take up minutes every day.

Who we serve

• Freelancers and small business owners who don't want a $15/month subscription for tools they use twice a week.
• Developers who need a quick JSON or Base64 round-trip without leaving the browser.
• Students and teachers preparing assignments, study packs and class materials.
• Designers checking color values and building palettes.
• Anyone who just wants to get a small thing done quickly without signing up for yet another account.

How our tools handle your data

Wherever it's technically possible, our tools run entirely in your browser. Files you process — PDFs, images, text, JSON, passwords — never leave your device. We use mature open-source libraries (pdf-lib, qrcode, the Web Crypto API, the Canvas API and the Web Speech API) to do the work client-side. The few tools that need an external API (like the currency converter) call those APIs directly from your browser. We don't run a backend that touches your content.

How we're funded

FastDailyTools is supported by tasteful, non-intrusive advertising. There are no paywalls, no signup walls, no upsells, and no premium tier. Ads keep the lights on so the tools can stay free for everyone — including users on slow connections in places where paid SaaS pricing makes no sense.

The roadmap

We add tools based on real demand. Coming soon: PDF splitter, image format converter, batch image compression, more generators (UUID, Lorem Ipsum, fake data), a screen recorder, and a unit converter. If there's a tool you want, tell us — requests genuinely shape what we build next.
